I’m pretty sure it was on January 2 that I saw hot cross buns at my local supermarket, making their first appearance the year. Hands up if, like me, this doesn’t bother you in the slightest and provides a niggle of Easter celebration excitement every time you head to the store!? Plus, hot cross buns are delicious, so there’s no denying their early appearance isn’t well received by our bellies too! While we are still quite a while away from Easter (according to the calendars that hang outside the office of supermarket Marketing peeps), teachers far and wide are secretly seeking something new, something fun for Easter craft ideas this year.
A few years ago we introduced the Teach Starter Insta Bunny. It was a craze that swept the nation, nay, the world! Why? Because it’s a quick and easy Easter craft activity that requires little planning and preparation. But, not only that, it’s actually FUN so students love it!
Given that we’re in the business of helping you guys make your classrooms buzz, we couldn’t go past creating a few more easy Easter crafts for you to add to your repertoire.
Funky Easter Egg Craft Activity
We’re sticking to a style that we know meets your three most important criteria.
- It’s a download, print and photocopy resource.
- Kids love this Easter craft idea.
- The finished products look AMAZING!
The next in the Teach Starter Funky Style Craft collection is the Funky Easter Egg!
This download comes with a single page Easter egg template with lines students can use to guide their colouring and decoration. Some kids love to stick to a black and white pattern, while others enjoy bringing all the colour they can to their funky craft activities.
The additional four pages in the download provide students with templates to add faces, accessories and other features to their eggs.
Create a funky chick Easter egg!
A goofy Easter egg…
Or, a stylin’ Easter egg!
So go ahead, download the Funky Easter Egg Template and Funky Easter Bunny Template and save them up for those last, long days before Easter.
You know the ones… when what you and your students really need is just to give your brain a break and have some fun!
