Well, you asked, and we have delivered with these radical templates and super fun activity ideas that are sure to impress your little book-loving superheroes.
Teach Starter saves the day with these super easy and FUN book week activities.

Okay, so teachers are superheroes in our eyes! And… they’re just as busy! So, we decided to put together this quick video showing each of the awesome activities that we have available to download on the website.

Superhero Corner Bookmark Templates
To kick off our Book Week 2019 resource collection is our superhero-inspired corner bookmarks. Your students will love picking one of three different designs.
How to use this resource:
- Students colour in their chosen bookmark and then cut along the outside of the template design.
- Next, they need to fold each triangle on top of each other and paste the two triangles together (creating a pocket). Voila!
Cute Superhero-inspired Writing Task
This adorable Book Week writing template will look wonderful as a display in your classroom. Students pick the boy or girl superhero and then finish off the sentence – ‘Reading is my secret power because…’
Your students will love decorating their superhero and sticking on their cape to the back of their writing to finish.
Fun with Superhero Comics
Our Roll to Create resources are always a hit! So, we decided to make a Roll to Create A Superhero Comic.
Can you spot the Book Week inspired comic inclusions?
To make it easier for your students to plan out – you may like to also provide them with our Comic Strip Templates.
But, how will Captain Bubbles solve the mystery of the missing page in the book??
Create Your Own Superhero Character
Let your students get creative with this Roll to Create a Superhero. Students roll the dice, match the number on their dice to the number on the table and continue until they have finished drawing their very own superhero!
Will their super power be reading?
A Super Book Report Template
Check out the CBCA Shortlist of books and pick a selection of suitable book titles for your students. Alternatively, pick a selection of books that you believe would interest your students. Get your students to pick a book to read.
After your students have read a book, they can complete their very own book report using our Super Book Report template.
You can then cut out the templates and hang them around the classroom as bunting.
Super-secret Code Breaker Fun
Your students will absolutely love creating their own code for their friends to break with our Super-secret Code Breaker template.
Why not get your students to use the code breaker to write down their favourite book title? They can then swap with the person next to them to break the code.

I’m looking forward to using the book report to put up in the hall outside my classroom (along with the posters). It’s too bare at the moment.
