Create a Focus Wall For Your Classroom

A focus wall is an excellent tool for displaying daily learning objectives or learning targets. Students can glance at the wall daily for a preview of what they will be learning/working on that day. Added bonus: administrators vising your classroom will know exactly what your students will be learning. It’s a win-win!

This resource includes a set of 17 different posters… some containing mnemonic devices and others for specific subjects. Some posters included are

  • WALT (We Are Learning To…)
  • WILF (What I’m Looking For…)
  • TIB (This Is Because…)
  • WAGOLL (What A Good One Looks Like…)
  • LEARNING GOAL
  • OLI (Our Learning Intention…)
  • TILT (Today I Learned That…)
  • TILT (Today I Learned To…)
  • WINK (What I Now Know…)

Before You Download

Use the dropdown arrow located on the Download button to choose between the PDF or editable Google Slides version.

Print the posters on cardstock for added durability. Slip each one into a plastic sleeve, making it easy to write on with a dry-erase marker and wipe clean each day. Attach to your whiteboard or a bulletin board, creating your focus wall!

Alternatively, use the slides to type in your objectives and project them at the start of each lesson to let students know what they will be learning!
