Focus on answering the right question
This teacher-facilitated activity focusses on teaching students to answer the question that the problem asks instead of merely getting an answer and saying, “Yay! I’m done!”
8 problems include whole numbers, all operations and are one-, two-, or multi-step.
Use with the whole class, in guided maths, with small groups or in tutoring or intervention.
This activity includes clear and concise teacher directions, an answer key and conversation starters that give students what they need to have meaningful academic discussions.
