A worksheet to use when learning about basic mapping skills.
This social studies worksheet provides students with an opportunity to practice mapping skills. Students will create symbols, a map key, and a compass rose. Students use cardinal directions to tell how to get to the treasure on the pirate map they create.
Be sure to download both the instruction page and the pirate map template. Select the grid map that is appropriate for your class.
