PDF | 1 page | Years: 3 - 6

A poster to use with young students when teaching similes.

Use this poster when teaching young students about similes.

Similes are one of the most commonly used literary devices by authors and poets. It refers to the practice of comparing two objects based on things they have in common and using the words ‘like’ or ‘as’ in the comparison statement. An example of a simile is ‘The boy is as slow as a snail.’

This teaching resource would be a wonderful addition to a lesson or unit on literary devices or poetry.
