A simplifying fractions activity.
In this centre activity, students practise simplifying fractions to develop students’ fluency and flexibility, making operations with fractions easier and less labour-intensive.
Students roll dice to create a fraction and draw a model of it. Then they use the model to simplify the fraction if possible.
Engage students in this activity while you pull other students for intervention or tutoring.
