A phonics game played in pairs and focusing on the following digraphs: ow, ou, or, aw, ue and ew.
A fantastic phonics game to reinforce different graphemes.
Students play this game with a partner. Each student chooses a colour (counters or markers).
They roll the dice and find a word that contains the digraph shown on the dice on the matching game board. Then they colour or cover that circle on the game board.
To win, they must be the first player to colour/cover a line of circles (horizontal, vertical or diagonal).
Just some feedback for the yellow vowel digraph roll game, sound 'ow' for slow, is different for 'now'. Perhaps edit for 'know' instead?
Hi Ebony, thanks so much for your feedback. We have a few words with the 'ow' digraph featured in this resource such as glow and snow, and now and owl, But we do have this resource available in editable form here - https://www.teachstarter.com/au/teaching-resource/editable-digraph-roll-orange/. That way you can change the digraph and/or words to suit your phonics scope and sequence.
