Froggy Friends Icebreaker Activity
A fun, getting-to-know-you game to play in the first days of a new school year.
To begin this icebreaker activity, students find a space of their own to work in.
There are 20 This Is Me Task Cards. Each task card provides:
- a snippet of information that may/may not apply to an individual
- an instruction to move a particular way.
As each card is read out, students respond appropriately if the information applies to them, e.g. jump up and down if you have an older brother. Students will find that there will be many cards that do apply to them and many that do not. They simply stand still for those cards that are not applicable.
The aim of the activity is to encourage students to get to know more about their classmates.
To foster a sense of teamwork, pair the task cards with the Froggie Friends Feedback Chart. Instructions for using this chart are included in the resource.ย
This activity can be used either in the classroom or when remote learning through online-meets โ as students may still be able to watch each other participating.
