Looking for ways to more activities to teach angles to your students? Here are three great suggestions from one of our experienced teachers:

  1. Angle Scavenger Hunt –  Have your students explore the classroom or playground to find real-life examples of the six types of angles from the presentation: acute, right, obtuse, straight, reflex and revolution. Allow the students to use a device to take photographs of the angles they find, or to draw and label sketches of the angles they discover in their workbooks.
  2. Angle Artworks – Have the students create a collage or geometric artwork using the six different types of angles. Students can colour-code their work according to angle type, enabling them to not only produce a piece of artwork but to demonstrate their knowledge, too!
  3. Design a Room – Challenge students to design their dream room using geometric shapes and various angle types. Students plan where to place furniture within the room while including angles that meet certain criteria.
