A variety of different objects with price tags to use in a pretend classroom shop.

Children love being actively involved in their learning, and this money resource provides them with the perfect opportunity to do just that!

Allow your students to explore simple financial transactions with these picture cards with accompanying price tags.

Print the cards and coins on thick card for increased durability, then let the purchasing begin!

One resource, many applications!

This versatile resource can be used in a multitude of ways during your Maths lessons. Why not try a few of these ideas…

Classroom shop

Set the picture cards out like a pretend shop. You may like to add props such as a cash register. Provide the students with a certain number of coins, then allow them to visit the shop and spend some of their coins!

Matching activity

Provide students with a selection of the picture cards and some coins. Have the students place the coins needed to purchase the item on top of each picture.

Calculating totals

Have the students choose a few items to purchase, then calculate the total cost. Students can use the coins to represent the total amount needed for the sale.
