A fun game for students to play in small groups to consolidate their understanding of place value to the tens of thousands.

Students will love challenging each other using this fun, engaging place value game.

Print out and laminate copies of the score sheets and number cards. Four different versions of the score sheets are included to provide variety for repeated play.

Similar to the dice game Yahtzee, students must try to fill in a 5-digit number next to every place value clue on their score sheet. The player who has filled in the most numbers on their score sheet at the end of the game is the winner.

More comprehensive instructions on how to play the game are included in the resource.

Hi, I am just wondering how many place value number cards per game? Is it one A4 sheet worth?

Hi Jayde, It's really up to you how many number cards are used in the game. I usually put them all out when I use this game in rotations.

Your Place Value Flip It Card Game series is fabulous and makes it so easy to differentiate place value across my 2/3 composite class. One small glitch that I've just noticed —in the 5-digit version, the fourth card has the wrong heading. It reads "4-digit etc." where it should read "5-digit etc." And to match the other cards in the series, I think perhaps it should be green, so it doesn't get confused with the other pink card in that set. I hope that's helpful feedback.
