Use this simple Maths worksheet as an exercise to help students sort 2D shapes! Your little learners will use a color code to differentiate between:

  • squares,
  • circles,
  • rectangles, and
  • triangles.

This activity will consolidate knowledge of2D shapes and their properties, such as:

  • sides,
  • edges, and
  • corners or vertices.

Tips for Differentiation + Scaffolding  

In addition to individual student work time, use these worksheets as:

Students who are working above-grade level can draw a line of symmetry over the shapes included in the worksheets.
