Let’s Start Skip Counting! Activities for Boosting Number Sense and Multiplication Skills

Are you looking for a way to help your students build a strong foundation in multiplication? It’s never too early to start building the foundation for one of the most critical maths skills in the curriculum.

One effective strategy is to teach them how to skip count. By learning to count by multiples of a number, children can better understand the concept of multiplication, memorize multiplication facts more easily, and develop important mental maths skills.

Skip Counting Charts and Worksheets

This printable skip-counting activity pack features a combination of printable skip-counting posters and accompanying fill-in-the-blank worksheets for students to use for additional practice. A great way to use the worksheets is to slip them into a clear sleeve and have students write on them using a dry-erase marker, then wipe and reuse. The following skip-counting posters are included.

  • Skip Counting by 2,3,4,5, and 10

  • Skip Counting by 2

  • Skip Counting by 3

  • Skip Counting by 4

  • Skip Counting by 5

  • Skip Counting by 10
