A set of 20 match-up puzzles to help students identify the numbers from 1 to 20.

Use this teaching resource in the classroom to help students identify and represent the numbers from 1 to 20 in:

  • words
  • numerals
  • ten frames
  • quantities.

Print, cut and laminate the pieces of each puzzle. Ask the students to match up the number names with their numeral, tens frame and quantity.

A great resource to use as a numeracy warm-up or group task.

Would be great to have a jumbled version available for download!

Hey, Bec! Thanks for your suggestion, I've popped that in as a change request for you. Have a great day!

Seeing as each number has its own colour, wouldn't matching the representations end up being about matching colours? If they were all neutral, the children would actually have to look at each representation to check if they were right.

Hi Kristy, Thank you for your suggestion. We have now updated this resource so that the children use the number name, numeral, tens frame and quantity to match up the numbers instead of referring to the colours on the cards. A low colour and black and white version have also been provided. We hope your students enjoy using this resource in the classroom. Kind regards, Victoria.
