Use this teaching resource in the classroom to help students identify and represent the numbers from 1 to 20 in:
Print, cut and laminate the pieces of each puzzle. Ask the students to match up the number names with their numeral, tens frame and quantity.

This resource is now available in Full Colour, Low Colour and Black and White. The colours have been updated so that they are mixed up, encouraging the children to use the number words, numerals, tens frames and quantities to match up the numbers instead of the colours.

Seeing as each number has its own colour, wouldn't matching the representations end up being about matching colours? If they were all neutral, the children would actually have to look at each representation to check if they were right.
Hi Kristy, Thank you for your suggestion. We have now updated this resource so that the children use the number name, numeral, tens frame and quantity to match up the numbers instead of referring to the colours on the cards.
