Victorian Era - Sports worksheet for your students to complete.

About this worksheet: The Industrial Revolution changed even the way people played sport! Before the 1800s sports like soccer and football were considered to be rough games, there were no referees, few rules and only the lower classes would participate.  A campaign was started against violent sports like football and boxing because so many people were injured playing these games, they were unable to work. So Victorian era sports became all about the rules of the game, and the spirit of fair play, morals that were very important to Victorians.
