Want to be a Teach Star in your city?
Can I have a Co-Teach Star?
Definitely! If you know someone who might like to share the responsibilities of hosting events, please let us know.
Is it possible to host events in my rural area?
Absolutely, in fact, we would love for teachers in remote and rural areas to participate.
Is there a minimum amount of teachers that need to attend an event?
No, your event can have as few as 5 teachers or as many as 500. It's entirely up to you.
Can there be multiple community leaders in my region?
Yes, as long as each community area is approximately 20 mins away, regions may have multiple communities in each city.
How much time would I need to commit to run events?
Each Teach Star must run 2 to 4 events per year, these can be a mix between casual meet-ups, wellbeing events and guest speaker events. With the use of our event software and templates, the planning process has been designed to keep admin time to a minimum.
