I like introducing both unplugged and digital coding activities to my Year 4 students. This week, they did "Code a Classmate" using a @teachstarter Resource. Last week, we worked on decision trees/flow charts & they're currently creating a Choose Your Own Adventure story using Keynote (or analogue option), with their flowchart as a guide. The kids seem to enjoy the unplugged computational thinking activities just as much as the digital ones. 😊
Thanks @teachstarter , the directional arrows algorithm game was perfect to cut up and use to introduce the #BlueBots in level 1 & 2 coaching sessions. Loved to see the communication, the problem solving and the excitement when success was reached! The directional arrows were used to plan how they wanted their bluebot to move/be coded and created much collaboration between the groups. #coding #kidscancode #codingkids #ictcoaching #beebot #bluebots #teachstarter #teachersofinstagram #teachersfollowteachers #iteachfirstgrade #iteachsecond
