Identifying Descriptive Language Worksheets - Nouns, Adjectives, Verbs and Adverbs
A set of 5 worksheets to help your students identify descriptive language in narrative texts.
Students read the five narrative texts provided and underline the descriptive language features. These include:
- nouns and adjectives
- verbs and adverbs
- adjectival phrases
- adverbial phrases
- common nouns, personal pronouns and proper nouns.
The texts included are:
- The Cat and the Whale
- The Hare and the Tortoise
- The Thirsty Monkey
- The Wind and Sun
- My Friend George.
Answers for teachers are also provided.
