    James is the Principal at Argyle Magnet Middle School in Montgomery County, Maryland. James’ dedication to equity, excellence and the innovative use of technology was highlighted when he was named Montgomery County Public School ESOL Principal of the Year in 2019.

  • Phyllis Fagell

    Phyllis is a licensed clinical counselor, author, and journalist who has worked in both public and private schools with students in grades K-12. She currently works as a counselor at a K-8 school in Washington, D.C. Phyllis is the author of “Middle School Matters” and a frequent contributor to news organizations, focusing on counseling, parenting and education

  • Rick Wormeli

    Rick is an experienced classroom teacher and one of the first Nationally Board certified teachers in America. An award winning author for Meet Me in the Middle and other books on education best practices, Rick’s currently working on a new book on ethical grading practices.

  • Natalie Brown

    Natalie is an Austin-based Content and Resource Manager. Natalie has 20 years of experience in public education, with 10 years as a teacher for 1st, 4th, and 6th Grade, five years as an Instructional Coach for grades PK-5, and five years as an Assistant Principal. She joined Teach Starter as a Resource Producer back in 2018, and her passion and dedication to education allowed her to quickly move into the Content and Resource Manager role.
