Do you ever stop to wonder who designs our unique teaching resources, posters, and magazines? Well, it’s time to continue to celebrate the talent of our in-house designers! The month of October features the sixth in a series of brilliant animations created by our talented designer – Sam. This month’s design is inspired by Halloween!
The Teach Starter team would like to shout from the rooftops that Sam is amazing! Not only is she an extremely talented designer, but Sam is also like a sunflower in the Teach Starter office. Sam is a big smile and a warm hug.
Sam is a Brisbane girl! Born and raised in the Sunshine State of Queensland, Australia. Sam loves the city, beautiful outdoors, hipster cafes, and Koala sanctuaries.
Creativity is at the heart of Sam! But she hasn’t always been a designer. Sam achieved a Certificate IV in Makeup from The Academy of Makeup and pursued a successful career in hair and beauty.
Like so many of us, Sam felt the need for a career change. So, she decided to explore graphic design. Sam achieved a Certificate IV in design from Shillington College and has never looked back!
We love Sam’s design work on the wide variety of resources found in our Home Reading Resource Pack.
This resource pack has been created to help teachers promote home reading in their class. Sam used her design skills to create certificates, progress trackers, brag tags, and even a display banner to motivate primary students to read at home.
Sam is also the genius behind the design of our Student-Led Discussion Strategies Poster Pack.
This set of 8 posters is eye-catching and informative. The posters detail student-led discussion strategies for your classroom.
Why Sam Loves Being a Designer?
What’s the best thing about being a designer for Teach Starter? For Sam, it’s doing what she loves every day. Most importantly, Sam loves creating teaching resources to motivate young children to learn and to help make classrooms buzz!
“I am inspired by Japanese Pop Culture, cats, and all things cute!”
Sam has a passion for drawing and practices daily! In the future, Sam hopes to expand her skills as an illustrator!
Keep your eyes peeled for more of Sam’s much-loved design work.
Join us in thanking Sam for her wonderful contribution to Teach Starter.
