Frozen Island Hunt - One-step and Two-step Problems Sort and Solve
A mixed up math story with one- and two-step problems.
This math story is mixed up! Using context clues, students put the story part, aka problems, in order and then solve the problem on each card.
8 problems include whole numbers, all operations, and are either one-step or two-step. Story is lexiled to 3rd grade.
Use during guided math, with small groups, or in centers.
This activity includes clear and concise teacher directions, an answer key, and conversation starters that give students what they need to have meaningful academic discussions.
