A simple grid symmetry drawing activity for kids.

Develop your students’ fine-motor skills and understanding of symmetry with this star grid drawing.

Students are required to draw the other half of the star on this ready-made symmetry grid worksheet. It must be exactly the same as the other side for it to be symmetrical.

Students can use the grid to assist them when working with different proportions.

Once your students have mastered grid symmetry drawing, they could also try our ‘How to Draw’ activities for kids.

This resource works well as a math center activity or a fast finisher activity.

Resource Updates

  • In your classroom, use this flip book style teaching presentation to display new vocabulary to your students for each week of the learning year. Turn this resource into a flip book by:

    • Printing out the pages
    • Use a hole punch to create holes in the three marked places at the top of the page
    • Use metal book rings to bind them
    • Display the flip book by hanging it with string or sitting it on a stand.
In this teaching resource, each page contains:
    • a new word
    • the definition of the word
    • an example sentence, showing the word being used in context.
Recommended to be used with the PowerPoint presentation version for whole class lessons. [resource]2486026[/resource]
