Use this template with your students to discuss vocabulary associated with diversity and equality.

Use this teaching resource when discussing cultural diversity and equality with your students. It works nicely in the days leading up to MLK Day or during Black History Month.

Students can create either one or both of these flip-books with vocabulary associated with equality.

Vocabulary explored:

  • compassion
  • inclusiveness
  • respect
  • empathy
  • care
  • diversity
  • culture
  • belonging
  • unity
  • equality.

Students can either look up each word in the dictionary, or they can write what the words mean to them in their own words. For younger students, you might want them to draw images instead of writing definitions.

Note: Once the top template has been glued to the second template on the ‘glue here’ section only, students can cut along the dotted lines on the top template to create the flip book.
