A design activity to use with students when learning about properties of materials.
Use this teaching resource when studying Matter and Energy and exploring the properties of materials.
In this activity, students will design a three-dimensional monster using a variety of materials. They must choose a climate for their monster to live, as well as two material properties they would like to explore further. Examples of these properties include: bumpy, hard, bendy, furry, light, etc. Then, the student must incorporate these items into their design.
