Name Matchup Puzzle – Word Document Template
An editable Word template to make your own matchup puzzles.
Use this template to make a personalized name puzzle for each student to help them learn to spell their name.
This template can also be used to make puzzles for spelling words, vocabulary words, or to teach different staff members (nurse, principal, art teacher, music teacher, etc.) at the beginning of the school year.
These puzzles make wonderful reading center activities.
To insert a picture, follow the instructions on the template:
TO INSERT IMAGE:
· Click the ‘Insert’ tab
· Click the ‘Pictures’ Icon
· Select ‘Picture from File’ in the drop-down menu
TO SET IMAGE BEHIND TABLE:
· Click the ‘Picture Format’ tab
· Click the ‘Wrap Text’ icon
· Select ‘Behind Text’ from the drop-down
Once you have followed these steps, you will be able to enlarge the image and center it in the middle of the puzzle.
Templates have been provided for names/words with 2-15 letters. If you require more letters, simply add columns to the 15 letter template.
