A small group activity focused on choosing the right operation to solve one-step problems with decimals.
In small groups, students read a problem card and secretly write the operation on a whiteboard. Then ‘1-2-3-Show!’ They show their operations and discuss why they are correct. After deciding the operation for each problem, students draw a picture of their thinking about the problem, and work together to solve it.
