Are you looking to sweeten up your literacy lesson plans? We’ve got you covered with a fun game to practice finding rhyming words for kindergarten. This resource is a jellybean-themed rhyming word interactive game.

Play our Rhyming Word Game

This game is one that’s easy to pick up but hard to put down.

It’s simple: Download the Google Slides file and open it in Edit mode on your computer. Project the first slide on the board and prepare your students to play. You can have one student at a time come up to interact with the slides, let them work in teams, or assign the activity as an independent workstation.

To use this activity,

  1. Say the word on the rhyming word jar.
  2. Listen to the ending sound of each word.
  3. Say the word shown on each of the jellybeans.
  4. If the words rhyme, move the jellybean into the rhyming word jar.

With this resource download, students will develop their sweet reading skills by identifying rhyming and non-rhyming words.
