Random name selector for your classroom

The random name selector allows you to enter your students’ names and then spin up a random name. This is a great tool for classroom games or prompting students to answer questions.

You can try it right now by clicking on the ‘Random name selector’ in the Tools menu.

The random name selector comes with four themes:

  • Hero Selector
  • Victim Selector
  • Lucky Dip
  • Default theme

Along with themes, you can also set the spin duration.

Once a student is selected, you have the option to remove them from the list to ensure their name isn’t chosen again.

Try it now!

Great resource! Is there any way that it can be saved so names do not have to be input each time?

Hi Julie, There sure is! In your gallery (https://www.teachstarter.com/gallery/) you can add a word list using the menu on the left. You can then call up this list any time you want to add it to a resource. This can be a class list, vocabulary list, spelling list and so on. If there is anything else I can assist you with, please don't hesitate to contact me.
