Being a beginning teacher is challenging, and transitioning from a largely theory-based, academic understanding of education into a real-life, operational classroom with students with diverse needs, can be tricky. Throw in a pandemic, some remote learning, and physical isolation from your teaching friends and colleagues, and the challenge grows. But it’s not bad news. Beginning teachers right now are developing resilience and flexibility which will hold them in good stead throughout their careers.
