A set of 3 posters to use in your classroom to indicate whether directed, guided or independent learning is taking place.

Display these posters in your classroom as a visual reminder of the type of learning (directed, guided or independent) that is taking place at a particular time during a lesson.

The symbols displayed on the poster are identical to those used in our teaching presentations.

The information on the posters is as follows:

  • I Do: This is the section of our lesson where I explain concepts that we are learning about to the class.
  • We Do: This is the section of our lesson where we discuss and work on concepts together as a class.
  • You Do: This is the section of our lesson where you work on an activity independently or in small groups.
