A template to use for a design activity related to the properties of materials.
In this activity, students design a 3D monster which they will later create using a variety of materials. Consideration is given to the climate in which the monster lives. Students will use an empty tissue box as the basic building block for their monster, adding materials to the box for body parts or clothing.
On this planning sheet, students decide upon 2 properties of materials which they would like to explore in their design e.g. materials which are bumpy, hard, bendy, furry, light etc. They label and draw their design on and around the tissue box.
