Add to your festive Christmas theme with this collection of 3D object nets.
What do you think of when I say 3D objects at Christmas? You probably think of cubes and rectangular prisms as gifts under a Christmas tree! But this resource presents opportunities for students to work with a range of 3D object nets. The twist is that the nets form a variety of Christmas objects such as presents, a Santa, a reindeer, a candle and a Christmas tree.
The 3D object nets include:
- rectangular prism
- triangular-based pyramid
- square-based pyramid.
Students will love decorating their net template, then cutting and assembling it.
The completed 3D objects could be displayed beneath a class Christmas tree before journeying home with the students. Alternatively, you may wish to attach a loop to the objects so that they can be hung on a Christmas tree.
Are you looking for a fun activity that also has educational value? This is the perfect craft activity as your class winds down at the end of the year.
