Try Out a Few Call-and-Response Attention Getters!

Are you looking for a fresh new way to manage your pupils’ attention during class this year? Your pupils will love these call-and-response cards, the perfect classroom management tool for quickly getting their attention!

Get ready to catch attention and ignite enthusiasm with the proven call-and-response strategy. This approach has been used successfully in various settings, including classrooms, military drills, sports events, and large groups worldwide. Rather than simply repeating yourself, teach pupils to engage with a positive or inspiring statement and watch the magic unfold!

1-2-3 Eyes on Me…and More Classroom Attention-Getter Examples

Classroom attention-getters are a very popular strategy for gaining your pupils’ attention. The teacher calls out a statement, and the pupils respond.

At the beginning of each week, display the phrase that will be the attention grabber for that week. Each week, change the phrase so that the pupils have enough time to get used to one saying!

Some call and response examples included are:

  • Holy, Moly Guacamole!

  • All Set, You Bet!

  • Macaroni and Cheese, Everybody Freeze!

  • And more!
