A detailed set of colour by shape activities.
These colour by 2D Shape activities will be a great addition to your maths rotations and fast finisher tasks.
Students recognise the 2D shapes within the pictures and fill them with the indicated colour. Make sure they look for shapes within shapes!
Shapes include:
- circles
- ovals
- triangles
- squares
- rectangles
- rhombuses
- parallelograms
- trapeziums
- kites
- pentagons
- hexagons
- octagons.
The technicalities of squares, rectangles and rhombuses also being classed as parallelograms had us scratching our heads a little bit when creating this resource. The same feeling I had when I watched Inception for the first time 😅 Encourage your students to work their way down the list of shapes, colouring the squares and rectangles before other rhombuses and other parallelograms.
