Mandir
A mandir is a place where Hindus worship. Mandirs can be small village shrines or large buildings, surrounded by walls. Hindus worship daily at the mandir. Hindus take part in Puja (worship) at the Mandir. People also visit the Mandir to pray and participate in the bhajans (religious songs). Mandirs can look very different but they are usually located near rivers and gardens.
