A template for students to use when learning about the four types of sentences.
Use this hands-on teaching resource when introducing your students to statements, questions, commands and exclamations.
The first page provides a brief definition of each sentence type in clear and simple language. It also reinforces the punctuation required at the end of each sentence type.
The second page contains the headings only, and provides space for the students to write their own examples of each sentence type.
To use this resource, provide the students with both pages. Students cut along the dotted lines of the first page, and glue the left edges of the two pages together. This will create a flipbook for students to use when writing their sentences.
Suggested teaching activity
