Christmas 2025 Teaching Resources
Bring Christmas 2025 to your classroom with printable colouring pages, holiday craft templates, fun games and more Christmas activities for your class — created by teachers, for teachers!
The end of the school year is a busy one, but the teachers on the Teach Starter team have created an extensive collection of teaching resources to save you time at the end of term and get your classroom Christmas-ready! Each resource in this collection has undergone our rigorous review process to ensure it's ready for your classroom too.
Not feeling Christmas-ready yourself? Our teacher team has put together some ideas to help make this holiday the best one yet in your classroom!
When Is Christmas 2025?
You probably don't need us to tell you that Christmas is celebrated on 25 December every year! In 2025, Christmas will be observed on a Thursday.
Of course, schools will be closed across the country for summer holidays, although the last day of school depends on the state or territory where you teach.
How Can I Decorate My Classroom For Christmas?
Want to bring Christmas into your classroom, but already have heaps to do? Here are some simple ideas you may like to try:
- Display your favourite Christmas picture books as classroom decor. They'll be easy to access for your read-aloud!
- Make paper Christmas tree ornaments with your students, and display them in the classroom. Students can take them home after their end-of-term party to give as gifts to their parents.
- Have each student create their own Australian Christmas bush for your classroom display.
- Plan a Christmas random acts of kindness challenge for your students, and display the challenges on your classroom wall.
What Should I Do With My Class for Christmas?
Get your students ready to make gifts to take home, or explore fun activities for the classroom break-up party.
Many of these Christmas activities can be completed with simple materials from around the classroom. From whole-class Christmas challenges to individual Christmas mindfulness activities, we have everything you need to get into the festive spirit this holiday season.
