Get to Know Caitlyn Phillips
If you’ve explored the wonderful world of #teachergram, you’ve probably crossed paths with @teaandcountryteaching, also known as Caitlyn Phillips!
Caitlyn has been making a positive impact in Victoria’s classrooms for a solid eight years. Even before completing her studies, Caitlyn’s journey to becoming a teacher took her through various school-based roles, from chaplaincy to working as an integration aide and diving into the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program. By the time she entered the classroom, she brought a wealth of diverse experiences with her!
Beginning her teaching journey with a permanent position in a rural school of approximately 50 students, Caitlyn has since taught at numerous schools in both permanent and relief teaching capacities. This journey has given her a broad perspective on the exciting opportunities and challenges that teachers face in the education industry today.
Outside of her current work as a Casual Relief Teacher, Caitlyn is a champion of teacher self-care and well-being, plus a collaborator creating resources right here at Teach Starter!
