An editable matrix of over 100 homework activities linked to the Australian Curriculum for a range of learning areas.
Planning homework can be a time-consuming task for teachers. It can be difficult setting tasks that relate to the learning taking place in the classroom… then there’s all the paper that is wasted printing out worksheets… and the hours of time that is spent marking them!
This homework activities matrix is intended to solve some of these homework woes. It includes over 100 activities which directly address the Australian Curriculum content descriptions in the following learning areas:
- Humanities and Social Sciences
- The Arts
- Health and Physical Education.
Homework requirements vary significantly from class to class and from school to school. We completely understand this! In light of this fact, this resource has been designed specifically for flexibility, enabling you to select as many or as few activities from the matrix as you wish each week (or, alternatively, each term). Once you have chosen the desired activities, simply copy and paste them into a text box on the homework grid of your choice and distribute to your students. In the interests of flexibility, six different grid versions are available. These include:
- 3 x weekly grids (4 x text boxes, 6 x text boxes and 8 x text boxes)
- 3 x term grids (9 x text boxes, 12 x text boxes and 20 x text boxes)
Before working with this document, ensure you ‘Enable Editing’ when opening the file. You may also wish to highlight or change the font colour on the activities as you use them – you don’t want to double up as the year progresses!
