Use this worksheet in the classroom to help students identify and name the different parts of their hands. This teaching resource is useful when learning Auslan (Australian Sign Language).

To complete this worksheet, students are required to brainstorm and record different ways that we use our hands to communicate and label the following features of the hands:

  • palm
  • back of the hand
  • blade of the hand
  • wrist
  • thumb
  • pointer finger
  • middle finger
  • ring finger.
