Study the Flags in this NAIDOC Week Colouring Activity

Did you know that in 2022 the Commonwealth Government of Australia purchased the rights to the Aboriginal flag? This means that it is now free to be used by all Australians. Celebrate this win and study the importance of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags with this NAIDOC Week activity

This agamograph activity is designed to help your students study the colour and layout of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags. The fun folding element of this activity encourages students to use a keen eye and to take time and care with their work. 

Help your students understand the significance of these flags by discussing the colour elements of each of the flags. 

Tips for Differentiation + Scaffolding 

A team of dedicated, experienced educators created this resource to support your NAIDOC Week lessons. 

In addition to individual student work time, use this colouring template to enhance learning through guided HASS groups, whole class lessons, or remote learning assignments.

    I can't seem to find the the Torres Strait Islander flag when downloaded?

      Hi Kelly! If you choose the drop-down arrow on the right-hand side of the download button you will see the different options. There is the Torres Strait Islander flag available in both colour and black & white. Hope this helps!
