3 Classroom Rules to Cover All the Bases

At the beginning of a new school year, starting with the rules is always a good idea. Rather than simply feeding your students the laws and regulations, why not involve them in creating your class norms? A classroom can efficiently run on three rules, and those three rules cover every base in your classroom ballpark. What are those rules?

  • Respect Yourself
  • Respect Others
  • Respect the Environment

On the first day of school, engage your students in breaking these rules into their components. Hold a classroom discussion and talk with your students about what would and would not follow this rule. Jot these down in a list, and then pull out this set of posters!

These four posters encourage students to respect themselves, others and the environment by following the different statements shown.
