Explore The Classroom With Sustainable Materials Task Cards
Help students develop a deeper understanding of sustainability by having them investigate the products they use every day. These Sustainable Materials Task Cards encourage learners to think critically about how common items are made, used, and disposed of. Through evidence-based inquiry, students use the sustainable materials task cards to evaluate recyclability, reusability, and environmental impact and identify more sustainable alternatives.
With this set of Sustainable Materials Task Cards, students will examine items such as pencils, shoes, notebooks, electronics, food wrappers, and drink bottles. The critical thinking questions on each card are designed to help them build environmental awareness and scientific reasoning skills. For each everyday object, students are required to explain their thinking using scientific vocabulary, support ideas with evidence, and assign sustainability ratings to real-world materials.
