Have Fun With A Properties of Materials Game

Make your material world unit exciting and hands‑on with this self‑checking digital interactive game, perfect for Year 2–Year 4 students learning why everyday objects are made from specific materials. This click‑and‑learn activity helps students connect objects, what they’re made of, and the properties of those materials that make them useful.

Students look at a real‑world object, think about the material it’s made from, and then click the property that explains why that material was chosen—such as waterproof, strong, flexible, durable, or transparent. With instant feedback and real-world visuals, this game turns material study into an interactive challenge.

Explore Why Materials Are Chosen for Different Purposes

Throughout the game, students encounter everyday objects and match them to the property that makes their material useful. Examples include:

  • Raincoat → Rubber → Waterproof
  • Window → Glass → Transparent
  • Towel → Fabric → Absorbent
  • Lunchbox → Plastic → Lightweight and Durable

Students click the correct property, and the game immediately lets them know if they’re right, helping them learn through exploration and quick feedback.
