Teach kids how to sign everyday greetings in Auslan (Australian Sign Language) with a fun video for the primary classroom.
Add Auslan Greetings to Your Classroom Routines
In this edition of the Teach Starter Learn Auslan series, students learn a few of the most common daily greetings used by Australian Sign Language users. Play the two-minute video for your primary class, and provide plenty of practise.
In fact — we recommend adding these greetings to your classroom routines to help make them stick.
After all, the best way to learn any language is to use it daily. Make sure that you get into the habit of signing greetings to your students. They should then be able to sign them back!
Please note that our video host, Auslan translator for Deaf Services Tegan Blanch, uses Northern dialect for ‘Good morning’ and ‘See you later‘ in this video.
