About Know Your Country
Know Your Country is an open-source, coalition advocacy campaign for all Australian children and their teachers. They're calling on all parliament to fund local, First Nations Cultural Educators in every Primary School so they can make ground on implementing the cross-curriculum priority and achieve reconciliation.

Meet Our Guest Speakers
Aunty Phyllis Marsh
A MaMu woman from the Mundubarra people of the Innisfail region, Phyllis grew up in her mother’s country where she had the opportunity to learn stories about a way of life that continues today. Having built a career in the corporate world, Phyllis made a career change when she accepted the role of Learning Innovator at West Moreton Anglican College, a Prep to Year 12 school located at Karrabin on Yugara Country.
Dr Scott Winch
Dr Scott Winch is Wiradjuri man and the First Nations Senior Policy Advisor for World Vision Australia. His work primarily focuses on First Nations child rights including education and justice. Scott has over 20 years’ experience in Aboriginal affairs from local community development and advocacy to international research and projects in urban, regional and remote settings.
