A 30 minute lesson in which students will learn the days of the week in the correct order.
Clarify whether your school or region considers Sunday or Monday as the first day of the week. In either case, knowing the days of the week in the correct order, regardless of the starting point, is the main objective.
This lesson contains a link to an external video. Please watch the video prior to presenting this lesson to ensure that the content is appropriate for your students.
Ask the students the following questions:
What day is it today?
What day is it tomorrow?
What day was it yesterday?
How many days are in one week?
Encourage the students to share and discuss their answers.
Watch the Days of the Week Rap Back video on YouTube. Encourage the students to sing along and ‘rap back’ the days of the week. Afterwards, discuss and revise the days of the week in the correct order. Replay the video, as desired, to help consolidate the students’ learning.
