A blank tens frame template.

Use this resource in a variety of ways in the mathematics classroom. Print the page on coloured cardboard and use with coloured counters.

This resource can be used to reinforce:

  • the understanding that 100 is made up of ten 10s.
  • double-digit addition within 100
  • double-digit subtraction
  • place value up to 100.

There are two versions to choose from – one with the frames positioned vertically on the page and one with the frames positioned horizontally. Use the drop-down menu to choose the one that best fits your needs.
