A worksheet for students to learn about times when typical common nouns become proper nouns.
In this teaching resource, students look at how common nouns can be used as proper nouns. Common nouns start with lowercase letters, but there are times where common nouns get upgraded to proper nouns and need capital letters. Students get to be creative by creating a dream business and using their grammar skills to find out what common nouns relate to that industry. Then get creative by coming up with a name for their business using those common nouns, making some or all of them Proper Nouns.
